Inter Milan completed signing Christian Eriksen from Tottenham

Inter Milan completed signing Christian                    Eriksen from Tottenham

Christian Eriksen has completed his transfer away from Tottenham and signed for Inter for a reported €20 million (£16.9m) fee.

Meanwhile, Tottenham has made midfielder Giovani Lo Celso's loan move from Real Betis permanent, completing a £27.2m transfer.

The midfielder had joined Tottenham at the age of 27, from Ajax in 2013 for £11.5m ($18m) and he has made 225 appearances for the club over the last seven seasons, scoring 69 goals.

When Spurs were defeated by Liverpool 2-0 in Champions League final last June, Eriksen admitted that he "would like to try something new".

He was linked with Manchester United and Real Madrid, but at last, Inter are  the one who sign Eriksen.

Over the last few months, however, Inter has come into the picture and the Nerazzurri have now confirmed Eriksen's signing, making him their third addition this January after Ashley Young and Victor Moses.

The midfielder has finally signed a four-year contract at Inter Milan and he may be in the lineup and debut his first match against Udinese this weekend in Serie A league, but is unlikely to feature in Wednesday's Coppa Italia clash against Fiorentina.

Eriksen failed to reproduce his best form during his final few months at Spurs, but he did contribute two goals and two assists to their Premier League cause, and able to help the team to qualify for the Champions League once again.

The Inter are three points behind defending champions Juventus after 21 fixtures but missed the chance to close the gap after drawing 1-1 with Cagliari on Sunday. And Antonio Conte thinks that Eriksen will be the best choice who can help them to be in 1st place in Serie a league table.

After their meeting with Udinese, Inter will start preparing for the Milan derby on February 9, which comes seven days before they take on a trip to Rome to face third-placed Lazio.
