Microsoft to halt the support of Windows 7 from today.
It is found that one in every four persons uses the Windows 7 system. The company said they want to focus on new technologies rather than looking out for the older one. Hence, cybersecurity experts urge the Windows 7 users to upgrade their operating system to higher version.
What does this mean to Windows 7 users?
It is not like the users of Windows 7 won't be able to work on Windows 7 but they will no longer receive the all-important security updates and patches that help to keep their device safe and
sound. Their system will no be longer protected by Microsoft security. And it won't be protected from viruses and malware as the security and software will no longer be updated.
Rik Ferguson, vice-president of security research at Trend Micro said," As Windows 7 will now be unpatched, the flaws in the codes will never be fixed. And the flaws codes mean that there is a successful chance that it will be easily attached."
What should you do now?
Though your Windows 7 computer will function, it is likely to become less and less secure. For this reason, Microsoft urges you to get windows 10 and install it to your device. You will still be able to install it on your old PCs but the company warns it won't run smoothly.
