The Ukrainian evacuees who were brought to the hospital in Novi Sanzhary on Thursday, where they will be quarantined for 14 days, got attacked from protestors who were given false information on evacuees.
45 Ukrainians and 27 foreigners fled from the epicenter of the deadly virus outbreak, Wuhan in China. These evacuees were brought to Kharkiv in eastern Ukraine and six buses were meant to drive them to the hospital in Novi Sanzhary. The buses drove them to the hospital but on their way were protestors waiting with bonfires and stones. Armored personnel was kept on guard to handle the situation. After a while, the protest calmed down a bit. Eventually, they were able to unblock the road from the protestors and the evacuees were safely brought to the building, where they will be held quarantined for 14 days.
Demonstrators were sent the fake email claiming to be from the Health Minister, saying some evacuees are contracted with the virus. This led the demonstrators to come on the road. Now, the SBU( Ukraine's Security Service) is investigating the swindle.

Looking at the condition in Novi Sanzhary, the Prime minister, the Health Minister and the Interior minister all traveled to the city to calm the stress of the people. President Volodymyr Zelensky gave a clear note urging the protestors to show some empathy and not forget that we are human and evacuees are Ukrainians too. On this note, Ukrainians Health Minister said she would join the evacuees to at least show that the evacuees are safe from the virus contact and let the people believe that they need to calm down. The minister said that the passengers are out of danger i.e. none of them are sick from the virus. The minister also mentioned that some who were suffering from fever were kept in China for treatment.
To date, no cases have been recorded from Ukraine, meaning no Ukrainians have suffered from the disease named Covid-19(Coronavirus).
Lately from the Coronavirus outbreak, more than 2200 people have been killed from the virus and about 76000 people are infected from the disease all around the globe. Around 1000 cases have been recorded outside mainland China.
