A dangerous volcano eruption is feared in the Philippines after a flow of lava began to spew out of the Taal volcano-located some 70 km south of the capital Manila.

It seems to be triggering after the emission of a huge plume of ash and more than 8000 people are being evacuated from the area. Taal, on the same note, is considered as the second most active volcano of the Philippines. It is situated on an island in the middle of a lake, also one of the world smallest volcanoes and has recorded at least 34 eruptions in the past 450 years.

On Sunday, the volcano was emitting some giant plumes of ash and some rumbling sounds and tremors were reported. More than 70 earthquakes have occurred, almost 32 of these earthquakes ranking 2 and higher on the earthquake intensity scale.
